Fresh but sunny weather accompanied the MotoGP World Championship on the day of return to action after the summer break in Great Britain. Recharged and eager to start all over Andrea Dovizioso showed some progress from Free Practice one to Free Practice two on Friday.
Following his huge announcement on Thursday, Dovi turned his focus fully back to further improve his feeling on the Yamaha YRZ-M1 today. After finishing the first session of the weekend in P20, Andrea made up one position in FP2.
In the process, he went incredible 1.705 seconds faster and closed the gap to the front to one second.
Dovi and his crew already have some ideas in mind to further reduce their gap to the fastest on Saturday in Free Practice three at 09:55 local time (10:55 CET) ahead of FP4 and the all-important Qualifying in the afternoon.

P 19“It’s nice to be back and ride a bike in Silverstone, which is one of the best tracks. It’s so difficult and so demanding, but a really wonderful circuit. Overall, we are in a similar situation like we finished before the break. I think I can be a bit faster, so I hope I can reduce the gap a bit. Everybody is so fast, so let’s wait and see for tomorrow, also in terms of conditions. We have some ideas to improve.”
